The Somerton Rotary Club, together with the Rotary Clubs of Yuma County, joined forces to make the Dictionary Project a reality for every 3rd grader in Yuma County!

Hello Parents, to ensure our Cobras have a successful week please make sure they follow school appropriate dress code/spirit week and bring only the necessary school materials in their backpacks. We highly encourage for you to remove the following items from their backpacks disposable water bottles, personal sharpener, push pins, metal (compass, protractor, ruler). These items have come a disturbance to the learning environment.
On Friday, there will be a dance during school and a social recess for those not wanting to attend. Students with ongoing behavior concerns may be added to a no-go list and a copy of the behavior notice will be sent by Wednesday, October 29th with the student. Students who purchase a dance ticket and receive a behavior notice will be reimbursed their money.
We highly encourage you to connect with us through the ParentVue app to monitor grades live but also attendance and behavior notes.

We kindly ask that all student costumes and accessories remain school appropriate. Costumes should follow our dress code no masks that cover the face, no fake weapons or sharp objects, and nothing excessively scary, gory, or inappropriate for a school setting.
We want all students to have fun while keeping our campus safe and respectful. Thank you for your support in helping us ensure a positive celebration for everyone!

Our Adult Ed students had a fantastic time and were truly grateful for the recognition. Congratulations to all for your hard work and dedication! 🙌

Hello Parents, students with honor roll, As and Bs, and perfect attendance took their certificates home. We celebrated their Q1 Achievement by providing them with ice cream during lunch and also recognizing them during our school assembly. Congratulations to Rafael for winning the Q1 electric scooter! Tomorrow and Thursday we will have conferences with teachers, see information attached. We kindly ask that conferences are kept between 5-10 minutes to allow other parents to get to speak to teachers, if needed teachers can schedule individual meetings during their daily 52 minute planning time or any day after school.

Report card grades are now available in your ParentVue app and paper copy will be sent with students on Monday, October 20th. If you see this comment in any class (Conference Requested - Please Call), we highly encourage you to see the teacher to develop a plan of support for quarter 2.
Our office staff will be supporting during conferences updating students profiles and providing activation codes for the ParentVue account.
